Job opening

The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, Institute of Mathematics, is looking to fill a position as a Research Assistant (m/f/d) (EG 13/ TV-G-U) in the “Geometric Analysis” working group of Professor Dr. Julian Scheuer as of April 1, 2025. The position can be filled as a postdoctoral position (100%) for 2 years or doctoral position (75%) for 3 years. They are expected to cooperate in the DFG research project “Curvature flows with local and non-local sources”. The Research Assistant is given the opportunity to carry out independent research, in particular to work on a dissertation.
Hiring requirements:

• completed diploma or master's degree with excellent examination at a scientific university in the field of mathematics
• or completed dissertation
• in-depth knowledge of curvature flows
• good knowledge of the English language; German is desirable, but not necessary.

For the term of the contract, the regulations of the Wissenschaftszeit-contract law i.V.m. the Hessisches Hochschulegesetz are applicable.
